Smoked Jalapeño Poppers

We all know that if your team is not in the big game, then best part of Super Bowl Sunday are the commercials and the eats! Whether you're hosting or going to a party, don't let your spread be without these smoked jalapeño poppers! These cheesy chipotle filled peppers are perfectly combined with the sweet, smokey heat of the bacon! Win or lose....Your friends are gonna love you!!

 

Ingredients:

  • 15 jalapeño peppers
  • 30 slices of bacon
  • 2 packages of Laughing Cow Creamy Swiss Original cheese wedges
  • ¼ c Caramel Kitchen chipotle caramel sauce, +/- to taste

Directions:

  1. Preheat smoker to 350 degrees
  2. Slice jalapeños in half lengthwise, removing the seeds and ribs and place on tray.
  3. Unwrap cheese wedges into a small bowl. Add about a quarter cup (or to taste) of chipotle caramel sauce and mix until well combined.
  4. Spoon cheese mixture, filling each jalapeño half.
  5. Wrap a slice of bacon around each jalapeño half and secure with a toothpick.
  6. Place peppers on the smoker grate and cook for 30-45 minutes. (Our needed 45 minutes of cook time with outside temp of 25 degrees).
  7. Remove from smoker onto a clean platter and add an additional drizzle of chipotle caramel sauce on top of each popper.
  8. Serve immediately
